چکیده
Audio is one of important information carriers in the multimedia. It contains abundant semantics and enriches information perception and acquisition. At present, it always uses vision information in the multimedia retrieval, but ignores audio information. In this paper, the problem of audio classification is discussed. The combination of Support Vector Machine and Hidden Markov Model is described and the hybrid model is used in audio retrieval experiments.

Acoustic Emotion Recognition Using Linear and Nonlinear Cepstral Coefficients
Recognizing human emotions through vocal channel has gained increased attention recently. In this paper, we study how used features, and classifiers impact recognition accuracy of emotions present in speech. Four emotional states are considered for classification of emotions from speech in this work. For this aim, features are extracted from audio characteristics of emotional speech using Linea...
متن کاملA Voting-Based Technique for Acoustic Event-Specific Detection
Several works attempted to address the problem. In general, these employ simple frame-level presentations and a variety of classification algorithms. Typically, individual events are modelled as Hidden Markov Models (HMM), and a speech recognition framework is employed to detect them [4]. The audio segments can also be characterized by the Gaussian population histograms derived from a Gaussian ...
متن کاملCombined Support Vector Machines and Hidden Markov Models for Modeling Facial Action Temporal Dynamics
The analysis of facial expression temporal dynamics is of great importance for many real-world applications. Being able to automatically analyse facial muscle actions (Action Units, AUs) in terms of recognising their neutral, onset, apex and offset phases would greatly benefit application areas as diverse as medicine, gaming and security. The base system in this paper uses Support Vector Machin...
متن کاملA Sparse Modeling Approach to Based on Relevance Vect
In this paper, we compare two powerful kernel-based learning machines, support vector machines (SVM) and relevance vector machines (RVM), within the framework of hidden Markov model-based speech recognit ion. Both machines provide nonlinear discriminative classification ability: the SVM by kernelbased margin maximization and the RVM using a Bayesian probabilistic framework. The hybrid systems a...
متن کاملAPPLICATION OF THE HYBRID HARMONY SEARCH WITH SUPPORT VECTOR MACHINE FOR IDENTIFICATION AND CALSSIFICATION OF DAMAGED ZONE AROUND UNDERGROUND SPACES
An excavation damage zone (EDZ) can be defined as a rock zone where the rock properties and conditions have been changed due to the processes related to an excavation. This zone affects the behavior of rock mass surrounding the construction that reduces the stability and safety factor and increase probability of failure of the structure. This paper presents an approach to build a model for the ...
